Halkidiki is a beautiful destination with thousands of tourists flooding the area during the summer months! The place shows continuous development, having a lot to show in tourism, in the cultural sector and a rich history that includes the teachings of Apostle Paul and the Olinthian speeches of Demosthenes.
The region is located in central Macedonia with its name coming from the settlers of Eretria and Chalkida. There is also the ancient city of Stagira, where the famous philosopher and scientist Aristotle was born, who even took the position of personal tutor to Alexander the Great, son of the King of Macedonians, Philip!

An important attraction of Halkidiki is the cave of Petralona in which traces of Archanthropes and anthropological findings, about 700,000 years old, have been found. In addition, according to the topography of Halkidiki, there was also the hideout of Hercules.
In terms of morphology, the peninsulas of Kassandra, Sithonia and Athos project into the sea, giving it a special shape that is very reminiscent of the trident of the god of the sea, Poseidon!
In Halkidiki, apart from the truly dreamy beaches, there are pristine natural landscapes and wildflower meadows, which are classified as protected areas by Natura.
The forest of Cholomontas, where Aristotle chose to spend a few years of his life, is a real gem for the region! Filled with magical paths through the fir and oak trees, it has 17 cycling routes, while of particular interest are the picturesque villages with remarkable architecture such as Taxiarchis and Arnaia.
